Elite School of Dance and Drama was set up in 1996 by Heather and Alison Francis. Originally based in Sutton as a saturday school. Elite now has three branches around South London; Streatham, Sutton and Worcester Park.

All our teachers are fully qualified with the IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) and have full CRB checks.

Meet our teachers...

Lucy Jones

Also a former student of Elite, and one of our top freestyle competitiors. Lucy has just received honours in her Licentciate Freestyle exam. She also trained at the BRITS school so has a performing background, ehich she puts to good use during our Musical Productions. Lucy is also the Principal of the Worcester Park Branch.

Alix Robinson

Also a former student of Elite, Alix recieved Highly Commened in her Associate Freestyle Exam in 2009. She was one of our top Streetdance competitors and still likes to compete every now & then! Alix will be continuing to teach at Elite whilst she continues her training.

Heather Francis

Heather is the co-founder and director of Elite. She is a Fellow of the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and has trained in many styles of dance. Heather trains competitors and has many dancers win titles across the country with South Londons Finest Street Dance Team winning titles such as: South London Championships, Surrey Championships, Kent Championships and many more.
She is also a national championship Judge.
Heather trains dancers to become professional teachers. She is also the founder and Director of Funky Feet Dance and Drama Company.
Heather is a professionally trained actor, she gained her acting qualification from The Arts Educational School, London. She is a full Equity Member.

Alison Francis

Co-founder and Director of Elite, as well as Heather's little sister! Alison is a Licenciate of the IDTA and somehow manages to fit in being a full-time teacher at a special needs school in Portsmouth!

Barry Elmer

Started teaching at Elite when it first opened as a student teacher. He trained as a performer at the BRITS school and has worked as a professional singer and dancer all over the world. Barry, now returned from his travels, teaches at our Streatham Branch.
Barry teaches both Freestyle and streetdance. Barry is our musical Director during our productions & summer school.

Jade Gooch

Also a former student of Elite, and an ex BRIT school student, Jade is also recieved Highly Commened in her Associate Freestyle Exam in 2009. Jade's specialist area is Drama, which she is still currently trainning towards whilst working for Elite.
